Two hours in the water with a professional local instructor: learn to stand up on the board or sharpen your skills on unbroken waves.

Ride your first wave or take your surfing up a notch on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, with tips from a professional local instructor. Always safe, always in control and, of course, having fun. Lessons are offered at three levels.

Beginner: we start with 15 minutes of theory on safety and positioning so you learn the right take-off technique to stand up on the board. The goal is to get you familiar with the ocean and the waves, comfortable in the water and enjoying the feeling of riding your first waves in paradise.

Intermediate: for surfers already comfortable in the whitewater (after the wave breaks). We'll help you catch your first unbroken waves and make your first turns, with expert tips so you feel at ease on the wave and can move on to the advanced level.

Advanced: your coach surfs with you to spot and correct mistakes, with valuable tips to optimize your surfing during your stay and maneuver comfortably on the Pacific waves.

Each lesson lasts 2 hours, and the time depends on that day's tide: book the day you want and we'll get in touch to set the time. Includes a professional instructor, local fruit and a bottle of water.
