Meet more than 40 white-faced monkeys up close, watch crocodiles from the Tárcoles bridge and enjoy a home-cooked meal in Las Monas. Great for families.

If your family or friends want to see white-faced monkeys in the wild, Costa Rica's famous crocodiles and enjoy authentic Costa Rican food, this is the trip for you. From Jacó, it's about a 45-minute drive to the so-called Monkey Jungle.

It's a very safe experience, perfect for families, where it's easy to see and enjoy a troop of more than 40 white-faced monkeys. They're curious, come over to meet you, give you high-fives and pose for memorable photos: a day to remember.

Next we stop at the Tárcoles River bridge, where you can walk across and watch the crocodiles in the river below. There are a few souvenir shops if you'd like to bring something home. On the way back, you stop at La Casita del Sabor (the Home of Flavor), where the grandmother of Las Monas cooks authentic local food.

Departures Monday to Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Includes transportation, guide, a bottle of water, local fruit (pineapple, papaya and watermelon) and the meal at La Casita del Sabor.

Meeting point

We meet at a meeting point in downtown Jacó 30 minutes before departure; if you're staying in the Jacó area, we can also pick you up at your accommodation. Either way, we'll confirm the details when you book.
