Tortuga Island Catamaran Getaway

Area
Isla Tortuga, Puntarenas
Duration
8 h
Difficulty
Easy

Sail by catamaran to Tortuga Island and spend the day snorkeling, hiking a nature trail, riding the banana boat and enjoying lunch on a white-sand beach.

Tortuga Island has one of those beaches you never forget: white sand, calm water and gentle waves. Beach chairs and umbrellas are included, so all you have to do is settle in with a cold drink. At lunchtime, a generous feast made that same day with fresh ingredients is served with your choice of beverage.

As you board the catamaran, the crew welcomes you with Costa Rican coffee, freshly baked muffins and fresh local fruit. The ride to the island takes about 45 minutes. Once on Tortuga Island, your day includes a snorkel trip, a hike along an eco trail and a ride around the bay on the banana boat. Want more action? The island also rents wave runners, paddle boards, kayaks, paddle boats and the Aquanaut underwater experience (not included in the price).
