Ride a tractor to the mountaintop and zip down 10 cables and 12 platforms, 3.5 km in all, overlooking Herradura Bay and the Gulf of Nicoya.
This canopy tour is pure adrenaline, designed to let you enjoy nature without harming it. The property has spectacular views of Herradura Bay and Island and the Gulf of Nicoya, and you may spot scarlet macaws, chestnut-mandibled toucans and white-faced monkeys in their natural habitat. It covers 80 acres, half of them protected by FONAFIFO, the national forestry fund.
The adventure starts with a 15-minute ride on a specially designed tractor. At the top, bilingual guides walk you through every safety procedure, and then you zip down a series of lines: 12 platforms and 10 cables totaling 3.5 kilometers, including the longest cable in the area at 2,400 feet (730 m). Fresh tropical fruit and cool water are waiting at the end. Along the way, professional photographers capture your adventure, with photos available for purchase afterwards.
Departures daily at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The zip line park is about 10 minutes from Jacó and the tour lasts around 2 hours. Includes tractor ride, bilingual guides, insurance, safety equipment, fruit and water.
