Jacó Shoreline and Jungle Lookout on Horseback

Area
Jacó, Puntarenas
Duration
2 h
Difficulty
Easy

Ride along Jacó's shoreline with the ocean breeze, then climb to the Miró ruins, a graffiti-covered lookout in the jungle. Sunset departure available.

A different way to see Jacó: on horseback and through the spots locals love. We start in Jacó, 10 minutes from Los Sueños and Playa Hermosa, where we fit you with all the safety gear and get you ready to ride. First you ride along the shoreline, with the ocean breeze in your face.

Then your guide takes you up to the Miró ruins, one of the most striking lookouts on the Central Pacific coast. Its graffiti-covered walls in the middle of the jungle make for stunning photos, so bring your camera. For the sunset, pick the afternoon departure.

We operate daily with a minimum of 2 people. Departures at 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (for sunset). About 2 hours long. Includes bilingual guides and horses.

Meeting point

We pick you up at your hotel or rental in the Jacó area. If you're staying outside Jacó, we meet in downtown Jacó; we'll confirm the exact spot when you book. If you need transportation from another area, message us and we'll arrange it.

What to bring

Long pants, sneakers, water shoes or strap-on sandals, sunscreen and sunglasses.
